    When flying to Oslo in the incredible country of Norway, you will more than likely land at Oslo Gardermoen Airport which is located twenty miles north of the city. Like several airports that I have visited throughout Europe, there are two train services that you can take into the city – one expensive express train aimed at tourists as well as a much more affordable regional train. Both of these trains travel to Oslo Central Station (Oslo Sentralstasjon) also known as Oslo S and take nearly the same amount of time to do the same journey yet one is almost half the price of the other. Norway is already a very expensive country to visit but by taking the cheaper train when you land, you can save a lot of money. (more…)

  2. Disney Magic at Sea UK Staycation Cruise from Tilbury: Day Two – At Sea

    After eventually falling asleep the night before, I woke up early again just before 7:00am on our only full day onboard the Disney Magic. As much as I wanted a lay-in, I knew I would rather get out of bed and enjoy the short time that we had onboard. However we also planned to make our day at sea a relaxed one (as this was our second Disney Magic at Sea staycation cruise, we had done a lot of the stuff onboard already) so we sat out on our verandah with a cup of tea for ages just chatting and enjoying the view. It was a beautiful calm morning outside with pink clouds in the sky – it really was the perfect way to start the day. (more…)
