On the only full day of our Disney Magic at Sea staycation cruise I woke up early just before 7:00am with a cup of tea from the drinks station up on Deck 9. I was really looking forward to the day ahead and making the most of our one full day onboard. Whilst I would have loved to have been able to book a longer cruise, I was grateful that these two night cruises even existed as otherwise I would not have been able to book one at all. I sat out on our verandah for a while with my tea – it was still grey and overcast outside and we were sailing close to the Dorset coastline. (more…)

Once upon a time back when the world was normal, I was so looking forward to my next Disney cruise unbeknownst to me or anyone else that the world as we knew it would soon shut down and our dream trip to Hawaii would be no more. Even when the Disney Magic sailed to the UK to help repatriate crew members from around the world a few weeks later, we raced down to Dover to see her thinking she would soon set sail back to the United States and life would return to normal. Well over a year later with five cancelled cruises to date and many more cancelled trips around the world, here we are in the present day. (more…)
