After another good night’s sleep, I woke up about 7:00am. Due to no annoying squeak in the cabin I guessed we were already docked in Funchal however when I went out onto our verandah, we were still very slowly heading towards the harbour. I felt incredibly grateful that we had a stateroom on the starboard side of the ship as we would never have seen the view otherwise without going out to the open decks. On this morning I woke up after an amazing sleep and feeling incredibly grateful for that extra hour in bed due to the first of many time changes of the cruise. Thankfully and much to my relief, I was still okay after feeling unwell the previous day. As our Character Breakfast wasn’t due to start until 9:00am, it felt great just to be able to take it easy and chill in the room until we needed to get ready. (more…)

After what I thought had been a good night’s sleep I woke up when the telephone in our room rang to let us know that our room service breakfast was on the way. The only problem was it felt like I hadn’t slept at all and I was feeling absolutely terrible. (more…)

490 days after booking our Disney Transatlantic cruise and the day had finally arrived. It was indeed a strange feeling that all that time had passed and today was the day we would be boarding the cruise after we started talking about it in Alaska over two years ago. (more…)

Our holiday started on the Thursday – two days before we were due to board the Disney Magic when we flew from Heathrow to Barcelona. We had booked our flight a year in advance and used our British Airways Avios miles which meant our flight cost a whopping £17 each. We chose the flight that departed at 6:25am in the morning as it meant that we could just get out of bed and go instead of having to hang around and wait. (more…)
