Tai O is a small fishing village located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong and has been on my list of places to visit for a long time. Given the amount of times I’ve been to Hong Kong, I’m embarrassed it has taken me this long to visit but each time I planned to go, the weather was never on my side. However given the current situation in Hong Kong, I have recently had to stay close to the airport (which is much closer to Tai O) on each of my trips instead of on Hong Kong Island. Thankfully I have still been able to do everything I always do in Hong Kong and last week, I finally visited Tai O – and the weather was perfect which made the day even better and worth the wait.
