1. Disney Treasure Western Caribbean Cruise: Day Four – Grand Cayman

I was in a deep sleep when the entire Disney Treasure was woken up by a loud announcement at 4:30am. I remember hearing the words “Red Parties” and “Incinerator” and even though this might have sounded alarming to some onboard, I have heard something very similar on another cruise that we have sailed on before. However this was also not the first time that we have been woken up in the middle of the night on a cruise and as there were no other announcements made, we simply turned over and went straight back to sleep. 2. Disney Dream Transatlantic Cruise: Day Six – At Sea

One of the many benefits of sailing on a westbound Transatlantic cruise is gaining an extra hour of sleep most days during your trip which allows you to feel rested and relaxed throughout your entire sailing. This day at sea onboard the beautiful Disney Dream was no exception as I woke up just after 6:30am (a side effect of the many time changes is waking up early without the need for an alarm clock) after a good night’s sleep so I immediately got out of bed and walked up to Deck 11 to get us both a cup of tea to start the day. 3. Disney Dream Marvel Day at Sea Cruise: Day Three – Grand Cayman

After our incredible albeit very long and tiring Marvel Day at Sea onboard the beautiful Disney Dream, a much more chilled and relaxed day was definitely needed which thankfully is exactly what we got. When we first woke up on this morning, we were already anchored in Grand Cayman and it looked like it was going to be even more relaxed than what we thought as it was raining heavily and you could barely even see George Town and if the weather had stayed like that, we would have remained onboard that day. However luckily for us (and as is usual in the Caribbean), an hour later there was bright blue skies and sunshine and it turned into the most beautiful day of our entire trip so far. (more…)

  4. Disney Wish Back to Back Bahamas Cruise: Day Six – Nassau

Despite desperately wanting a lay in on this day, I was wide awake just before 7:00am which was the last thing I wanted after another late night and what I knew was going to be a long day ahead. I was also still feeling incredibly full after having such a wonderful dinner at Enchanté the evening before. After laying in bed awake for a few minutes and realising that I had to move, I decided to do something completely different that I had not ever done before on a cruise and that was to go to the gym! (more…)

  5. Disney Wish Back to Back Bahamas Cruise: Day Three – Nassau

On the third day of our cruise onboard the beautiful Disney Wish, I woke up at 6:30am ready for our first port day in Nassau. I walked out onto our balcony and it was already light out and the weather was absolutely perfect with no humidity at all which was going to make for a very comfortable day in the Bahamas. As there was only going to be the three ships docked in Nassau on this day, we had already planned what we were going to do and take advantage of a quieter port as we knew that it was going to be a lot busier later that week when we returned on the second half of our back to back cruise. 6. Disney Dream Double Dip Halloween on the High Seas Bahamas Cruise: Day Four – At Sea

The title of this blog will immediately give away the answer of whether or not we made it to Castaway Cay in the Bahamas for the second time on our Halloween on the High Seas “Double Dip” cruise onboard the Disney Dream – but yes we did miss our stop on Disney’s private island that day as we were unable to dock due to Hurricane Ian which I had predicted earlier in the cruise. (more…)

  7. Disney Wonder Hawaii Cruise: Day Seven – At Sea

On the second sea day on our Disney Wonder cruise from Hawaii to Vancouver, I woke up at 7:30am after a good night’s sleep. I had been looking forward to this day since the cruise began as we had both brunch at Palo booked as well as Pirate Night to look forward to. It was a little cloudy out and we could see from watching the Bridge Report on the stateroom television that the outside temperature would start dropping quickly the following day so we knew we had to make the most of the good weather while it lasted. (more…)

  8. Disney Wonder Very Merrytime Cruise: Day Five – Falmouth, Jamaica

After a brilliant albeit tiring day the day before in Grand Cayman on our Very Merrytime Cruise on the Disney Wonder, we were both looking forward to a more relaxed day. We were woken up just after 7:00am by the thrusters of the ship as we started to dock in Falmouth. I tried to fall back asleep but could not which was annoying as it was going to be a long day as the Pirates IN the Caribbean fireworks were due to start at 10:00pm that night. (more…)
