Where to Get a Great View of Universal Studios Hollywood
Last year I found a photo on the internet showing a great view across the outside movie sets at Universal Studios in Hollywood – all the places you get to see if you’ve ever taken the Studio Tram Tour whilst in the park. With a little help from Google Maps I managed to find out where the photo had been taken. You will need a car but it is very easy to find.
From the US101 take the exit for Barnham Blvd and then take the second left onto De Witt Drive. Continue to the end of the road and turn right onto Troy Drive before reaching your destination which is Blair Drive.
This is a residential street (though not a private street) so there are houses that overlook Universal Studios and do get the associated noise – this is the reason why during Halloween Horror Nights, the Terror Tram finishes early on Thursdays and Sundays.
These are the views of the Psycho House, Whoville, Falls Lake and the War of the Worlds set complete with a crashed Boeing 747.

A close up of Falls Lake with the Simpsons ride in the background and the Universal New York streets backlot and Citywalk in the distance.
