1. Disney Treasure Western Caribbean Cruise: Day Six – At Sea

We were both having the absolute best and most wonderful time onboard the beautiful Disney Treasure so waking up just after 7:00am and having a whole day at sea to look forward to was an incredible feeling. We had lost an hour of sleep due to the time change overnight and when I walked up to Deck 11 to get us both tea and pastries for breakfast, it was so quiet and Marceline Market was completely empty.

We did not want to have a bigger breakfast that morning as we had lunch at Enchanté booked and we were hoping that the rest of our day would be just as chilled and relaxed as we wanted it to be. I really do love sea days which is one of the reasons why we prefer booking longer cruises as sitting out on deck or on our verandah and looking out onto the vast ocean in front of you full of endless possibilities is one of my favourite things in the world.

After having a shower and getting dressed, our first stop of the day was Dory’s Forget Me Knots on Deck 11 to have a look at all of the different Disney Treasure t-shirts that are available on the ship. There were so many designs and I nearly bought the Haunted Mansion Parlor one but decided against it at the last minute as I already have far too many t-shirts that I never wear!

Our next stop that morning was down to a very quiet Grand Hall where Peter Pan was out meeting everyone on the Deck 5 balcony at 10:30am.

As we still had some time to kill before our lunch at 12:15pm, we decided to spend a few minutes sorting out all of our clothes that we would not need for this day or the last day of our cruise at Castaway Cay and also pack away anything else that we no longer needed back into our suitcases which were stored out of sight underneath the bed. We started doing this a few cruises ago and we found that it really helps us to enjoy every minute of our final day onboard the ship whilst avoiding having to rush and pack everything away at the very last minute.

After a wonderfully lazy morning which is simply the best way to start any day at sea, we got changed ready for our lunch at Enchanté before walking up to Deck 14 Forward to listen to all of the ship’s horns at Midday once again and we heard It’s a Small World After All, An Actor’s Life for Me, When You Wish Upon a Star and the Star Wars theme.

We had previously experienced both dinner at Enchanté onboard the Disney Wish as well as the Dessert Experience – both of which were incredible dining experiences which I still remember fondly to this day. We always knew that we wanted to book lunch at Enchanté on the Disney Treasure and we had no issue making a reservation when our booking window opened online 120 days before the cruise and we had a choice of times on both sea days of the cruise.

There is a dress code to dine at Enchanté and even though it is not as strict as it once used to be, we had both brought clothes with us just for this one meal. After walking down to The Rose on Deck 12 Aft, we were shown straight to our table by one of the windows which offered a perfect view of some of the Bahamian islands that we were slowly sailing past on our way to our final port of Castaway Cay. We began our amazing lunch with a beautiful glass of Taittinger La Française which I had happily discovered whilst crossing the Atlantic on our last cruise onboard the Disney Dream and had absolutely loved.

I will once again write about my lunch at Enchanté in a separate blog post as I feel it definitely deserves it. Our time at Enchanté was a truly wonderful experience and I was able to enjoy the brand new Potager vegetarian tasting menu which was incredible in every single way. At the time of our cruise in May 2025, lunch at Enchanté cost $135 per person before any extra charges for alcohol and I thought it was worth every penny and more as it was so good.

Our lunch at Enchanté took just over two and a half hours and once we had sadly finished our amazing meal, we walked back down to our stateroom to get changed into some more comfortable clothes before walking down to the Jade Cricket Cafe to get a coffee each ready for Broadway Music Trivia which was due to start in the Triton Lounge at 3:45pm.

We had loved doing Broadway Trivia on our last cruise so we made sure to get there a few minutes early on this one as we knew it would be busy as the Triton Lounge is such a small venue. I am not sure how but for the first time in fourteen cruises, we finally won with a score of 19/20 which neither of us could believe! I actually thought we had tied with another team but no, our vast and extremely random Broadway and West End knowledge that we have between us (as well as me spending way too much money seeing so many shows in London and New York in my twenties and also being obsessed by the Beauty and the Beast musical as a teenager) finally came together at the perfect time and we are each now the proud owners of a Goofy medal which we will “Treasure” forever.

We could not stop smiling afterwards so we decided to just walk around the ship and just enjoy being onboard the Disney Treasure that afternoon as it really felt like there was still so much that we had not seen yet despite this being our sixth day on the ship. Our first stop was the Luca and Alberto “Under the Sea” artwork on Deck 4 opposite Hook’s Barbery which is made completely from paper and pins which we had briefly seen on our Imagineering the Disney Ships tour the previous day.

This intricate artwork is full of hidden details and it was so much fun to try and spot as many of them as we could such including the Disney Treasure keel coin, the Heart of Te Fiti, the enchanted rose from Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin’s lamp, Cinderella’s glass slipper, the poison apple, Ursula’s necklace, a scarab beetle, a compass, a diving helmet, the Symbol of the Gods from Hercules, Tiana’s hair comb and even a fish with Rocket Racoon’s face! I would love to know of any that we missed.

Just off the Grand Hall on the port side of Deck 3 is the cross section artwork of the Disney Treasure showing all of the different spaces onboard the ship – a very similar art can be found on the Disney Wish – and it was great to look at and also see some of the crew areas that as passengers we will never get to see.

Another piece of artwork we looked at was the incredible and detailed map outside of the Skipper Society which references other venues onboard the Disney Treasure along the rivers of the Jungle Cruise. As well as the entrance buildings to the Jungle Cruise and the Indiana Jones Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland, you can also spot the Haunted Mansion along Spirit Strait, a jungle location of Jumbeaux’s Sweets, Plum Blossom Point for the Jade Cricket Cafe, HeiHei Bay for the HeiHei Cafe and The Tale of Moana stage show, Marigold Falls and some Alebrijes for Plaza de Coco, Submarine Lagoon for the Periscope Pub, the Scat Cat Lounge, Buccaneer Bay for Pirate Night, the New World representing the Agrabah-themed Grand Hall, Rusty Metal for Mount Rustmore at Castaway Cay as well as the Milano spacecraft for Worlds of Marvel.

And it was only when I got home and looked back through all of my photos that I spotted the Society of Explorers and Adventurers seal in the top left hand corner which I never noticed when we were onboard!

As it was such a sunny, perfect and beautiful afternoon at sea, we continued our day by walking around outside on Decks 4 and 5 and also up to the bow of the ship on Deck 6. There was absolutely no one to be seen as I think everyone was making the most of the sunshine and the swimming pools on the upper decks.

Another difference that I noticed onboard the Disney Treasure was that two of the large porthole windows located outside on the starboard side of Deck 4 featured Pluto and Donald compared to the Disney Wish which has Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey instead. I look forward to seeing who will be on the Disney Destiny not that I have any plans to sail on her in the immediate future.

On our way to Jumbeaux’s Sweets on Deck 11, we also took a few minutes to look at all of the details located at the entrance to Marceline Market which has a few subtle differences compared to the Disney Wish. Along with the living moss wall art located in the stairwell and the flowerpots hanging from the ceiling, you can also see another reference to 718 which is the shipyard hull number of the Disney Treasure.

Right next to the entrance to Marceline Market on the starboard side of the ship is the latest branch of Jumbeaux’s Sweets which is inspired by the film Zootopia. Just inside the bright pink entrance you can find Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde sitting at a table and enjoying a giant ice cream sundae as well as two lemmings on the counter (and an elevator tube for them to get up there as well as their own tiny door to enter the shop) enjoying a Pawpsicle each.

The artwork on the walls includes a map of all of the different Jumbeaux’s Sweets locations and bus lines throughout Zootopia and there is also a poster of Gazelle with the words “Try Everything” as you really will want to do just that when visiting!

There are even more details throughout the entire store including displays of large cakes, miniature cakes, several Big Donut boxes as well as two Gideon Grey blueberry pies.

At Jumbeaux’s Sweets there are sixteen flavours of ice cream, twenty flavours of gelato and forty different toppings making it very easy for everyone to find something that they like. There are also various cupcakes and macarons as well as other sweet treats available however the one thing that I wish they sold was the amazing and delicious Hawthorn flavoured frozen Pawpsicles from Shanghai Disneyland which I have very fond memories of from my last visit to the park.

Despite the many different choices, I decided to get a scoop of sorbet along with some sprinkles (because why not?!) which I took outside and enjoyed in the shade on Deck 11.

After finishing our treats from Jumbeaux’s Sweets, we headed back to our stateroom to watch Ratatouille whilst we got ready for the evening ahead. It has become a little tradition of ours to watch the movie at least once on every cruise – usually on the day that we visit Remy or Enchanté – as we both love the film so much.

As we had both loved watching Stories From the Lamp – Aladdin Retold featuring Coriander and Sage a few days previously, we knew that we wanted to watch it again so we made our way down to the Grand Hall where it was taking place for the second time this cruise at 7:30pm. We had also decided that we wanted to watch it from close up this time so we sat on the floor on Deck 3 along with many others where we had an unobstructed view of the stage from our front row spot.

One thing that I absolutely loved about sitting so close to the stage was being able to see all of the little details in the steamer trunks that belong to Coriander and Sage including some of the various hats and props that they use in their different shows onboard, various fairytale storybooks (including The Rescuers, Raya and the Last Dragon, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, Moana, Swiss Family Robinson, Princess and the Frog, Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland – and the numbers on some of the books refer to the order that the animated Disney films were released) as well as a few Hidden Mickeys amongst some of the other treasures on display.

I thought that Stories From the Lamp – Aladdin Retold was incredible the first time but I loved it even more the second time and was so grateful that we had the opportunity to see it again as it is such a fun and unique show. Coriander and Sage are so special and are truly the heart of the ship as they tell all of the different stories onboard in the only way they can and they really help to bring the Disney Treasure to life.

Once the show was sadly over, it was time for a quick dinner back in 1923 once again at 8:15pm. We had already looked at the menu in advance and as there was nothing that we wanted to order, we had asked our Head Server Aziz if it was possible to have an Indian curry that night which was hot, spicy and absolutely delicious.

As we had not met Pluto yet during the cruise, after finishing our dinner we made our way up to the Deck 5 balcony where he was out meeting everyone at 9:30pm. I also took a few minutes to look at all of the stickers from around the world on Coriander and Sage’s steamer trunks that were out in the middle of the Grand Hall ready for The Jungle Cruise: An Interactive Story Adventure which was due to start at 10:15pm.

The Jungle Cruise: An Interactive Story Adventure features two teams led by Skipper Lily and Skipper Frank (Coriander and Sage) taking part in a race to the infamous Back Side of Water along the most dangerous and treacherous stretches of the Zambezi and Irrawaddy Rivers which are both full of unexpected obstacles and challenges and includes all of the bad jokes and puns that you could possibly want. We simply watched the show from above on Deck 4 so we could not hear absolutely everything that was going on, so make sure to actually take part if you want to have the full experience.

After waiting for a few minutes I finally managed to get the photo that I wanted of an empty Grand Hall with the giant Jungle Navigation Company sign when all of a sudden it started to hit me how truly sad I was feeling knowing that we only had one full day left onboard. I had not felt that sad towards the end of a cruise in such a long time and I knew that I was not ready to get off. The Disney Treasure really is such a special and magical ship and I had completely fallen under her spell.

It was just after 11:00pm when we took the elevator up to Decks 11 and 12 for a walk outside in the fresh air before getting a cup of tea to take back to our stateroom where our penultimate blanket animal was waiting on the bed for us.

It really had been the best and most relaxed day at sea onboard the Disney Treasure full of perfect food, great laughs and I had loved every single minute of it. Despite feeling so sad at the thought of our cruise coming to an end, I was ready to get to sleep and wake up the following morning and make the most of our final day at Castaway Cay.
